Planning outside the boxes - what does this look like?

As a community of learners, we will unpack 'the golden rule' when planning for children’s learning— ‘follow up the thinking, not the activities…’

Our focus is the thought processes and ideas behind the activities rather than the activities themselves. Together, we will examine the planning cycle and how we can ensure high-quality outcomes by tailoring the learning experiences to the child's interests, passions and needs. When we plan like this, the plan tends to flow naturally as there are limitless possibilities and opportunities beyond what is listed in the frameworks. Let's discuss:

• How can we involve children in the planning and learning process to better meet their needs and interests?
